The first episode of Quantico season 2 was much like its pilot. Alex Parish has a take it or leave it offer from CIA after being dismissed from the FBI in the last season.
The uncountable time jumps, within the first few minutes of the show, only add to the confusion. You might have to watch the episode again just to be sure about what is happening.
Other than Ryan Booth, (Jake McLaughlin), Nimah Anwar (Yasmine Al Massri), Shelby Wyatt (Johanna Braddy), and Miranda Shaw (Aunjanue Ellis), you will be introduced to a lot of new faces, challenges, tasks and risks lying ahead of Ryan and Alex.

We jump to the past when Ryan and Alex are very much in love. The two get assigned to yet another task just as he is about to pop the question. They find out that they were both working undercover for the FBI. Soon Alex and Ryan begin their training as undercover agents, trying to convince the rest of their fellow classmates that they are nothing more than familiar faces back at Quantico.

Coming back to the present moment, Ryan is now in President Todd’s detail. He shares a quick and tense non-detailed interaction with Alex. He and his team are in New York for the G20 Summit, where the world leaders have arrived for a meeting. Meanwhile, Alex spots a dead man, Jeremy Miller who she had killed herself and her suspicions about a possible bomb blast begin. She calls Shellby for confirmation who tells her that the man is not Jeremy Miller, but Paolo Silva. Before she could give more information, their networks get disconnected and with an aerial shot we see Alex again in the middle of a string of bomb attacks.

Back at G20 Summit, masked assailants have entered the main building and hold every occupant as hostage. They threaten the President of executing the First Lady. Meanwhile, Alex is on the move. She sneaks inside a building and finds the boxes where the assailants have stored their equipment. She gets caught by one of them and after knocking off the mask, she finds out that it is Jeremy Miller who tells her that she is wrong about a lot of things. Before she could shoot him, he jumps out of the window and escapes. Meanwhile, the assailants raise their large heavy knife to execute the First Lady and Alex appears off stage. A lot of questions are bound to linger but the makers seem to know what they want and hopefully they will clarify all doubts in the upcoming episodes.
