Trust some people to surprise you more and more with every act of theirs. So, we had the likes of KRK, Rakhi Sawant, Kashmira Shah, Dolly Bindra, Sambhavna Seth and others, who came to the ‘Bigg Boss’ house, showed their colours, yelled their lungs out and well, just tried to be themselves.
The “shoooting” (note the triple ‘o’) stars came and conquered and then, vanished. Some of them mellowed down, while others just, as mentioned before, vanished. But not Pooja Misrra. Just count the times she has come up with newer and more-intriguing-than-the-earlier issues to whine about. And no, we are not questioning if the issues were real.
For the uninitiated, Pooja is one of the many actresses who had auditioned for Salman Khan starrer ‘Dabangg’. As history has it, Sonakshi Sinha bagged the role and with that, managed to earn quite the ire of this rival. Ever since, Shotgun Junior has been the reason of her miseries, or so Pooja claims.
The actress/model was caught in the Nepal Earthquake that happened this year in April. After reaching home safe, on May 31, 2015, Pooja posted images of wounds and bruises, she got while she was still stuck in the earthquake. She claimed to have been hit by a bike in Nepal, while she was pregnant.
The pregnancy, Pooja claimed, happened after she was drugged and raped in an Udaipur Hotel. Well, Sonakshi Sinha is responsible for that crime as well.
On June 3, Pooja posted another message on her Facebook page, which stated that Sonakshi’s mother Poonam came with Salman and mixed drugs in her drinks and food. Pooja had also accused actress Isha Koppikar and her husband Timmy Narang of harassment.
Pooja had also accused Colors, which runs ‘Bigg Boss’, of stealing her concept of a cookery show. Pooja had alleged that celebrity cookery show ‘Farah Ki Daawat’ featuring Farah Khan as the host was her idea and that Colors stole it from her.
Her legal notice read: “My client states that after such a defamatory and horrendous projection on Bigg Boss no one offered my client respectable roles in the Bollywood film fraternity and going by the bad example set by Colors to make my client a sacrificial lamb, everybody followed suit and did the same to her. That this lead to severe health, professional and financial losses for my client and scarred her career for life.
All boundaries of professionalism and decency were crossed when Colors went ahead and plagiarised ‘Pooja Misrra Productions ‘maiden cookery show, written, directed, produced and anchored by my client herself by putting on air, Farah Khan ki Dawat… Even the sponsor Videocon had approached Pooja Misrra Productions for sponsorship for her cookery show however was shamelessly roped in by Colors for ‘Farah Khan ki Dawat’. Now ever since the inception of Colors we have not seen a cookery show on the prime time slot, so its crystal clear that Farah Khan ki Dawat was plagiarised from, Pooja Misrra Productions’ cookery show which will soon be airing on a New York based food channel.”
In another incident, two days after a video of her slapping and hitting a five-star hotel staff went viral, Pooja posted a video on her Facebook, in which she is seen warning the media to sue them of Rs 1000 cr for maligning her.
On September 12, 2015, Pooja Misrra was reported to have hit the staff members of The Taj, Dwarka, New Delhi, when they asked her to settle her bills. In the video, she could be seen mouthing all sorts of abuses.
Pooja Missra went ahead and even blamed Sonakshi for defaming her and usurping movies from her. In her post, she also claimed that ‘Dabangg’ that marked Sonakshi’s Bollywood debut five years back was meant for Pooja, but Sonakshi “usurped” it from her.
And in the most recent case, Pooja Misrra has been accused of assaulting the staff of a leading store in New Delhi. The police said on October 12 that she was caught on camera roughing up staff at a store in Karol Bagh. “The model not only manhandled the staff but took out a pistol and threatened to shoot them,” said a police official.
The official said the model lost her temper after a heated argument with a customer. “Why the model lost her temper is yet to be verified. We have recovered the CCTV footage of the incident. The matter is being probed,” said the official. No case has been registered yet.
But we can rest assured that this is not the last we have heard of this incident, or Pooja Misrra.
