Akshay Upadhyay from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh started playing Kaun Banega Crorepati 11 in Monday’s episode. He won Rs 1,60,000 with the help of four helplines but failed to cross the second ‘padhav’ which would have ensured he took home Rs 3,20,000.
The question that Akshay failed to answer was, ‘Who is the first wrestler to win the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna?’ Options were Yogeshwar Dutt, Sushil Kumar, Bajrang Punia, Amit Kumar. With no clue about the right answer, Akshay decided to quit the show and take home Rs 1,60,000.
Upon quitting, he guessed Sushil Kumar as the answer and it was the right answer. If Akshay would have taken the risk, he would have won Rs 3,20,000.
The next contestant to take the hot seat was Mansi Joshi from Bengaluru, Karnataka. She will continue playing in Tuesday’s episode.
This is the last week of Kaun Banega Crorepati season 11. The show airs on Sony Entertainment Television from Monday to Friday at 9 pm.
