Jennifer Aniston on Friends cast reunion: We are working on something

On The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jennifer Aniston said there is no reboot happening of the popular television show Friends but the 50-year-old actor hinted at something in works with all the cast together.

Jennifer Aniston broke the internet with her debut on Instagram with a photo that featured the actor with popular television show Friends’ star cast Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer. Recently, on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the actor was questioned by the guest of the episode singer Charlie Puth along with Ellen if there is going to be a reboot of the show, to which The Morning Show actor replied “No.”

However, she continued, “We would love for there to be something but we don’t know what that something is. So, we are just trying, we are really trying… we are working on something.” When Ellen quipped if we can safely say that it is probably not a reboot but a movie. Jennifer replied, “No, we don’t know. I don’t know yet. I don’t want to lead people on.”

Ellen probed Jennifer to state a reason to why her first photo featured all the Friends’ cast if nothing was happening. “We did that because we miss each other and we all happened to be in the same part of the world,” the actor answered. However, Ellen sounded unsatisfied by the answer. She said, “Right. Nobody falls for that, Jen. Nobody’s like, ‘Well let’s all get together ‘cause we haven’t seen each other.'”

Charlie, who is a self-confessed fan of the series, said, “Sounds to me like there’s something in the works.” Jennifer concluded the conversation by not revealing much but sure made Friends fan curious with her half-baked statements.

At present, the actor is busy promoting her series The Morning Show, also starring Reese Whitherspoon. The show will go on air from November 1 onwards on Apple TV+.
