The ribbons were created to demand climate action and the Natural Resources Defense Council thanked the TV stars for wearing the cause, reported Entertainment Weekly.

“Thanks to @jeffreytambor, @OfficialJLD, Louis C.K., @IamDonCheadle and others for supporting climate action!” the official account of the council tweeted.

Many stars donned the ribbons last year as well, backing the Green Ribbon Campaign, a movement to open up discussions about mental health.
