On the first anniversary of Comedy Nights Bachao, this was the least its fans were expecting. The comic show, which began exactly a year ago, on September 5, is set to go off air soon, or at least its current season. One of the main actors on the show, Anita Hassanandani shared a collage on Instagram with an emotional message. Even Karan Wahi wrote something, which confirmed the news. The stand-up comedy show hosted by Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh has a team of actors who present gags, trying to roast the celebrities who come on every episode.
The show had initially started on a good note, garnering decent ratings. It could sustain its prime time audience despite Comedy Nights With Kapil giving it tough competition on the TRP charts. But it could never overthrow Kapil Sharma’s show. It was only after Kapil had a fallout with Colors, leading to his team pulling out their show from the channel, that Comedy Nights Bachao could climb a little up the charts. But on a larger picture, it always remained under the shadow of rival shows at the same slot on the weekends. Now that the news is out that its current season is ending, things are set to change for the weekend slot on Colors. However, the posts of Anita Hassanandani and Karan Wahi hint that the show will end, only to return with its next season in a few months, after its makers revive the format and change certain things. The only catch is these two actors might not be a part of the upcoming season. Hence, they bid adieu in their own sweet manner.
Anita bid farewell by writing, “This is heartbreaking#bachaooo season one ends! Gonna miss each one of you! This journey has been 😍😍😍😍 AMAZING! Thanks for making this happen for me @nikuld LOVE you guys! @imkaranwahi @bharti.laughterqueen @shru2kill @addakhan @mubeensaudagar@krushna_abhishekofficial @haarshlimbachiyaa30 @realsudeshlehri @ @kaushal_j #shakeelji @gauravcomedynights ALL THE BEST for season 2!”. In Karan’s words, “Ill miss this madness….thanku #comedynitesbachao for all the fun, madness and smiles u gave me… until we meet again…. #nevasayneva”.
Check out their posts.

The team of Comedy Nights Bachao also includes actors Adaa Khan, Shruti Seth and Pooja Bose, and comedian Sudesh Lehri, apart from others. Tinseltown biggies like Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif have appeared on the show as guests. The show is tentatively going off air, considering Color’s next big show Bigg Boss is set to begin by the end of this month. Talk about sacrifices!
