The Bigg Boss house drama that ensued yesterday after Puneet Issar’s daughter Nivriti’s offensive tweet about Karishma Tanna’s dead father went viral has taken a rather interesting turn, as Nivriti has denied that the infamous tweet came from her Twitter account.
In an interview to the Times of India, Nivriti Issar has claimed that the tweet was posted from a fake account. She said, “My family and I have been so disturbed ever since the tweet was posted. I am a daughter and my father is alive. I would never write anything against any daughter. I have never spoken against any evicted inmate even though they have gone all out against my father. Why would I do something now? It’s just a game show and not the end of the world. I am sure they don’t feel any malice towards anyone as it’s not them, but the circumstances that have pushed them to react in a particular manner. I am sure they would reconnect and become friends once they are out of the house. One tends to react strangely because of the unnatural circumstances they live in. The tweet is shameful. I have a clear conscience and am God-fearing. But I would like to apologise if the tweet has hurt Karishma’s family.”
In the current season of the show, it has been often seen how Puneet Issar and Karishma Tanna pick up fights over the most trivial issues. This tweet of Nivriti came in the wake of one such fight. It was said, that Nivriti changed her Twitter handle once the tweet went viral.
Meanwhile, Karishma’s mother has revealed that she cried after she came to know of the tweet. She said, “The tweet was disturbing and I cried a lot after learning about it. I have no clue why Puneet is projecting my daughter in that manner by calling her a bimbette and mitti ka madhav. I felt bad. He is behaving strangely as he supports her on some days and goes all out against her on other days. Karishma had called him her father because she actually saw a father figure in him. And with the latest tweet, Nivriti has proved that she is his daughter and is negative.”
Another thing that draws our statement, here, is Nivriti’s mother Deepali’s comments about Karishma and Pritam Singh on her facebook page. Here are some snapshots of her comments about these two housemates.
We guess, she has chosen them, as Karishma and Pritam are the only ones who have openly spoken up and against Puneet.
While we don’t want to judge a person by the Facebook posts he/she loves to put up, we also think a game show should be played in the right spirits and be kept in the limits.
