Blame it on the diversity of human species or on the aura the Bigg Boss house creates, Day 1 of the season 8 of the very controversial show – Bigg Boss – started off on a mixed note.

On one hand, there were inmates Upen Patel and Sukirti Kandpal quite enjoying each other’s company, so much so, that Upen Patel gave Sukirti a nickname – Sukku – and promised to call her by that name only; on the flipper side, there was Sonali Raut, who had to bear the brunt of some of the inmates’ honesty.

This year Bigg Boss has introduced the concept of middlemen and hence, formed a secret society, which has been given the responsibility to play Bigg Boss to the rest of the housemates. This society was assigned a special task ‘Qurbaaniyaan’ under which they had to ask some of the housemates for a ‘qurbaani’ in lieu of their bags and belongings.

So, when Karishma Tanna and Minissha Lamba were asked who they found to be the most negative person of the lot, they opined for Sonali. The model-actress was clearly miffed with this.

Aarya Babbar was seen chilling and cracking away jokes with ‘Shakuni’ Praneet Bhat. These two can be seen as the fun elements in the house. Arya Babbar and Minissha Lamba shared a ‘pehle aap, pehle aap’ moment, quite literally, over the water bottle. It remains to be seen whether this culminates into something or fizzles out.

Karishma Tanna looked pretty and very tall.

Another feud cropped up when Diandra Soares was denied her luggage because her ‘qurbaani’ was not found upto the mark. When asked who she considered her biggest competition in the house, she named more than one. The Secret Society, not being happy with her response, refused to give her, her own luggage.

Diandra didn’t seem too pleased with this and threw her arms in the air and called the questions silly. “I will roam around in petticoats or in bikinis, if my bags don’t arrive. I have nothing to lose,” she said.

To keep themselves engaged, the inmates decided to put up a ramp show in the evening, where they put on garish make up and dressed up as vampires and zombies. The theme of the show was – Supernatural beings. Well chosen, we must say!

Quite an eventful day, to say the least! But will the events go on peacefully from here? How long will this concept of middlemen survive?

We certainly will have to wait and watch the Supernatural Beings!
