After winning Bigg Boss Season 19, the actor, best known for his performance in Anupamaa, revealed that he had no issue supporting his wife’s decision not to have children. Gaurav also stated that he will stand by her no matter what.

“Why do we always think that only our wives should support us? We are men. We should support women more. And I am very happy that this question has been raised. Because if my wife is not ready for something, then I am not ready either. So we don’t want kids. It’s not that she doesn’t want it. She doesn’t want it, and I agree with that. I am very happy. My love for my wife is much more than any other choice. So I feel, if 10-15 more people start thinking like this, then the world can be a little better,” he shared during an interview with News18.

Gaurav Khanna, who also won Celebrity MasterChef earlier this year, tied the knot with Akanksha Chamola in 2016. However, they have never pursued parenthood and have been vocal about their decision. During a past conversation with Siddharth Kannan, he stated, “I want to respect that decision. It’s been nine years since our marriage. She doesn’t want kids. I have to respect that decision. If a woman is not ready, then you should not force her. But yes, I love kids. She loves kids, but she has her reasons for not…because absolutely, a mother’s frame of mind is absolutely essential for the child. Ma, ma hoti hai yaar (A mother is a mother after all).”
