“It has been an extraordinary experience. This is the first time I participated in a reality show. And I am really happy and proud of myself. Yes, there is also a sense of disappointment as I never expected to be evicted so soon,” shared Saba Khan after her exit from Bigg Boss 12.
On Sunday night, host Salman Khan evicted Saba and Anup Jalota from the controversial reality show. While Anup seemed the obvious choice, Saba’s exit came as a shocker for many. Deeply upset over her elimination, the Jaipur girl opened up about her journey and future plans in an exclusive chat with indianexpress.com.
“The twist that got Megha Dhade nominating me led to my exit from the house. I don’t think I would have been nominated otherwise. There are a lot of people in the show, who aren’t even performing. My game was on a different level and I would have done well. Also, the double eviction spoilt my chances. But personally, I am very strong, and if I would have stayed, no one would have had a chance in front of me,” she shared with a smile.
Saba Khan further shared that she has been missing her sister Somi Khan a lot, “We are very close and our bond only grew stronger inside the house. Being the eldest, I am really protective about my siblings. Yes, we also fight a lot. Thankfully, in the show, we stood by each other, although there were few tiffs (laughs). From the time, I moved out, I have been only thinking about Somi but I am sure she will do well.”
The Khan sisters’ journey started with a bang but over the weeks, their performance saw a dip. Stating that her emotions played spoilsport, Saba said, “I am a very emotional person. And the people in the show realised that and started playing games with me. They somehow managed to be successful. Somi tried to make me understand but then the damage was already done.”
Saba’s physical fight with Srishty Rode led to Bigg Boss taking away her chance of becoming a captain. She was also trolled by fans for pushing the actor. Sharing that she still stood by her action, Saba said, “I don’t know if that led to my downfall. At that moment I didn’t think I was wrong. But I didn’t deserve to be evicted so soon. I played the game with all my heart and gave my 100 percent. I wish I get a chance to go back again.”
Having worked in the hospitality sector, the Jaipur girl is definitely open to a career in the entertainment industry. “I don’t know right now but I am definitely enjoying all the attention. And the housemates used to always tell me that I am a very natural actor. So you never know. But first I want to go home and meet my family. They were so disappointed knowing that I was out. They told me that I could have easily reached the finale.”
Lastly, decoding the contestants, Saba said, “Somi, of course, deserves to win the show. As for Sreesanth, he is not only very fake but also vicious. Even Dipika Kakar shows a very different character but in reality, she is not the same.”
Bigg Boss 12 airs every day at 9 pm on Colors.
