Bharti Singh talks about her post-wedding plans with Haarsh Limbachiyaa.

Every girl while growing up dresses her doll as a bride, somewhere hoping to adorn the same bridal avatar. Popular comedy star Bharti Singh is all set to finally live her dreams of a whirlwind romance and a fairytale wedding. The actor and performer is set to tie the knot with longtime boyfriend, writer Haarsh Limbachiyaa on December 3. Interestingly, it is Bharti, who has taken it upon herself, to get the groom, as her wedding has been themed, Bharti Ki Baraat. Recently, the actor released the first look of her wedding card, and we must add it’s as cool as the couple. The couple may not be the conventional romantic ones we see every day but these soul mates have a beautiful relationship that has been strengthened with love, respect and most importantly friendship.

Giving an insight to her relationship with Haarsh, and why she decided to marry him, Bharti, in an exclusive conversation with indianexpress.com, said, “Haarsh never proposed me for friendship or relationship. While he told me that he loves me over a text message, we did not speak for 15-20 days after that. He assumed that I have got upset over his daring step (laughs). Haarsh felt that since he is a writer and I was doing well for myself, I will be angry and so he did not bring up the topic, while I did not know how to react. And then one fine day, he told me that he wants to marry me.”

She added blushingly, “In a metro city like Mumbai where people take relationship for granted, there was a man who was ready to accept me like the way I am and even live his life with me. How could I say no?”

Bharti further said, “I am a very homely person and I like being with my family than spending time at parties and social gathering. I might be a celebrity but I have values of a normal simple girl, and Haarsh respects and accepts it. That’s the beauty of our relationship.”

When we asked her if she plans to be the perfect wife post marriage, smilingly she said, “Haaye, badi saari cheezein karni hai (I want to do a lot of things). I have decided that I will only take up limited work only catering to comedy. And on days when I will be home, I want to cook for Haarsh. He loves eating non-vegetarian food and aloo and gobi parathas and I will lovingly feed him with those. I am really excited for this new start and want to build a happy home with him. His cupboard is also very messy and I plan to sort it out so that every day, he doesn’t have trouble finding his things.” Isn’t that just too awwdorable?

With lot of preparations, Bharti was left surprised and embarrassed when she went to her designer Neeta Lulla on Wednesday to try her bangle ceremony lehnga. Bharti is on a weight-losing spree and has become 3.5 inches less, leaving her attire to go into alteration again. The actor has thus promised to share the pictures of her wedding dresses on her social media account.
