After many extensions, television’s much-loved show, Beyhadh had its last episode’s telecast on Friday. The show was an unconventional one amidst many long-running daily soaps and gave the Indian television audience a pleasant break from all the saas-bahu sagas. Earlier, the channel, Sony decided to pull a plug on the thriller drama in August before the launch of Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 but later it was decided to give a boost to it by giving it an extension until October.
Jennifer Winget surprised all by portraying the anti-hero, Maya in the drama. Despite having grey shades to her character, the actor with her ace acting skills won many hearts. She was ably supported by Kushal Tandon (Arjun) and Aneri Vajani (Saanjh). On Friday, to express her gratitude for all the love she received for ‘Maya’, Jennifer took to her social media accounts and wrote a long emotional note thanking the entire cast and crew of Beyhadh.
“…and so the curtain closes on Beyhadh! The parting so bittersweet, that I couldn’t stay to be in the same country as everyone says bye to it. Thank you to Ameeta, Prateik, Radhika – etched is the day you guys walked in with Maya, my character of a lifetime. For that I’ll be forever grateful to you. Beyhadh ends, but it’s definitely not the end for Maya, I’m taking her with me for keeps! Thank you to all my fans, friends, peers within the industry for reassuring my decision of taking up this off track role; consistently encouraging and recognizing the hayrd work!!🙏🏻,” wrote Jennifer who is currently holidaying in Prague.
She also mentioned how much she learnt from the entire cast of the show and what all fun she had with Kushal and Aneri on the sets of Beyhadh.
