Oscar winning-filmmaker Barbra Streisand may make her foray into TV direction by helming an episode of “Life In Pieces”, which stars her husband James Brolin.

According to Brolin, who plays John Short in the show, there is a definite possibility that Streisand may take the director’s chair in the second season, said The Hollywood Reporter.

“I went to her originally and proposed that she might direct one. She said maybe in the second season once we’re settled,” Brolin said.

Co-star on show Thomas Sadoski, says the 73-year-old filmmaker is no strange to “Life In Pieces” as she has seen them shoot.

“She came and watched us shoot the pilot. She couldn’t have been any lovelier, and having her around giving us support was amazing. Literally, anything that woman wants to do, she’s the queen.”

Executive producer Jason Winer wants Streisand to guest star in the sitcom, but Brolin feels directing will be the best thing for her to do, if she is able to take some time out from her busy schedule.

“If she has a lot of room to change the script, move things around, choose between two or three scripts, then perhaps. I don’t know if that’s going to happen.

Plus, she’s directing ‘Catherine The Great’ right now, and she’s got three projects going plus an album. She’s so busy, I have to make an appointment to talk to her!,” he said.
