British actress of Indian origin Archie Panjabi is all set to star in ABC anthology drama “The Jury”.
The 43-year-old “The Good Wife” alum is the first person cast in the drama, said The Hollywood Reporter.
The story follows a single murder trial, exploring the biases and experiences that influence the jurors’ judgement, and how their preconceptions change along the way.
Panjabi will play protagonist Kim Dempsey. The character is described as a force of nature cloaked in a professional demeanour who is not interested in making friends but instead in finding the truth.
VJ Boyd will pen the script of the drama which is a co-production of Sony Pictures Television and ABC Studios.
