Vijay Sethupathi, who recently completed the shooting of Sindhubaadh, has signed his next, a sports drama, in which he will be seen as a volleyball player.
This untitled project is helmed by Prabhu, a former assistant of Su Arunkumar of Sindhubaadh-fame. Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, this film is expected to go on floors after April.
The Petta actor had also announced he would collaborate with debutant director Delhi Prasad Deenadayal at the 100th-day celebrations of 96. Now, it has been revealed the film is titled Thuglak Durbar, and will go on floors in June. Touted to be a political satire, this film, produced by Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studio, will have drama, action and fantasy elements. Apparently, Delhi Prasad Deenadayal had assisted Balaji Tharaneetharan, who will pen dialogues for this film.
Vijay Sethupathi has Super Deluxe, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Maamanithan, Idam Porul Yaeval, Kadaisi Vivasayi, Laabam and an untitled film by Venkata Krishna Roganth in different stages of production.
