We had reported that the second schedule of Thalapathy 64 was underway at a private college in New Delhi. However, the recent buzz is that the team couldn’t continue the shooting owing to severe air pollution.
“Initially, we thought we could complete this schedule in 40 days, but it’s not possible. So far, we shot a couple of sequences indoors. The director has to take a call if we need to wait for a few more days or go somewhere and continue the shooting,” says a source.
Thalapathy 64, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s third directorial venture following Maangaram and the recently-released Kaithi, went on floors in the first week of October. Vijay Sethupathi, who plays the principal antagonist, was supposed to join the crew in Delhi in some time.
Indianexpress.com has additional information about Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, who plays an important role in the film. According to sources, the son of veteran director-actor Bhagyaraj will be a part of Vijay Sethupathi’s gang and is playing a character with negative shades.
“Shanthnu is playing the role of a college student and is thrilled to have bagged the project. He’s looking forward to working in this film considering he’s a huge Thalapathy fan. Also, he has been wanting to share screen space with Vijay for a long time,” adds the source.
Vijay plays a college professor in this out-and-out gangster film, produced by Xavier Britto under XB Film Creators banner.
Andrea Jeremiah, Petta girl Malavika Mohanan, Sriman and Antony Varghese of Angamaly Diaries fame play pivotal roles in this yet-to-be-titled Vijay starrer. Thalapathy 64 has music by Anirudh Ravichander, editing by Philomin Raj and cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan.
