The trailer of Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 is out and at the trailer launch of the film, director Shankar revealed how he turned his idea into a reality.
On the idea of the film, Shankar shared, “The idea I don’t know where it comes from. But I always want to satisfy the audience and their expectations.” When Kannada actor Shivrajkumar asked how he came up with this unique title, Shankar said, “I felt the title 2.0 was appropriate.”
Shankar also spoke about the dedication that Rajinikanth showed while filming the climax of the movie, “We shot climax portions in Delhi but Rajini sir was not keeping well. 500 people were there, but since we invested a lot of money, he came and acted. He got hurt in the knees. Despite all this, he worked in full swing. Superstar is superstar because of his dedication.” He further added, “All the credit goes to Rajini sir. Even today, his performance is fresh though he has been acting for ages.” He also spoke a little about the film’s villain played by Akshay Kumar. “It is Akshay’s toughest film in his career,” said Shankar.

He credited 2.0 producer Subaskaran for showing faith in him and his ideas. Calling the film an experience, Shankar shared, “More than a film, 2.0 is going to be an experience. The film is not possible without Subaskaran. Because it is not every day, you get a producer who will shell out so much money.”
Shankar noted that it was because of all the technicians that 2.0 could come to life. He applauded them by saying, “I value each and every technician’s contribution towards the film.”
But all is not over yet. Shankar hinted that after 2.0, there is a possibility of 3.0. He said, “If there’s a story, why not?”
Starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, 2.0 releases on November 29.
