2.0’s audio launch might have had some of the biggest stars on earth, but we found the Thalaivar sharing a sweet moment with his grandsons there. Both of them who looked cute in their suits were seen to be chatting happily with their Superstar grandfather Rajinikanth. Their actor father Dhanush had attended the event as well with Latha Rajinikanth and Soundharya was also seen at the event.
The 2.0 held the biggest film event of the year in Dubai, going all out for the audio launch. The cost being pegged around Rs 12 crores, the event had everything: a lit Burj Khalifa, skydivers with the poster of 2.0, live streaming across the malls of Dubai among other things. The event was also the first of its kind to be held at the Burj Park, with a seal of approval from the Dubai government. The launch had a live performance from the film’s music director AR Rahman who performed two songs from the album at the event.
Helmed by Shankar, 2.0 is the second costliest movie to be made in Asia. The film also has Akshay Kumar making his Kollywood debut and Amy Jackson. The team has said that while 2.0 will happen in the same universe as Enthiran, the story will be completely new. The crew has also said that the teaser of the movie would be launched in November while the trailer will be launched in December, as a special gesture on Thalaivar’s birthday.
