While the post-production work is underway, Darbar will release in January for Pongal. Speculations are abuzz that Rajinikanth plays a character named Aaditya Arunchalam. However, an official word is awaited.
Also starring Nayanthara, Nivetha Thomas, Dalip Tahil, Suniel Shetty, Sriman, Yogi Babu and Prateik Babbar, Darbar will see Rajinikanth donning the khaki after 25 years. Darbar marks the third collaboration between Nayanthara and Rajinikanth, following Chandramukhi and Kuselan.
Darbar has music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Santosh Sivan and editing by Sreekar Prasad.
On the other hand, Rajinikanth is gearing up for Thalaivar 168, directed by Siva of Viswasam fame. This yet-to-be-titled film, produced by Sun Pictures, will have music by D Imman.
