Last Friday, Bollywood actor Kajol, who was at the inauguration of the 23rd edition of the Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF), posted a picture on Twitter of herself along with actors Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan. While she may have expected that the picture would garner a lot of likes and shares, it backfired due to an inaccurate caption.
Standing right in the middle of Amitabh and Kamal, Kajol is brimming with happiness and excitement in the photo. She captioned the picture, “Selfie time with two legends ….. couldn’t resist (sic).” And she was immediately subjected to trolls, as many Twitter users started to point out that the photo in question doesn’t qualify as a selfie.
Kamal has come out in support of Kajol, requesting people to stop trolling her for what seems to be a mistake done unintentionally. “Please spare Kajolji. I an not a fan of selfies. Though I am a fan of them both. Troll not a kind guesture (sic),” Kamal wrote on his Twitter page.
Kamal was one of the high-ranking celebrities that attend the opening ceremony of KIFF. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was also present at the ceremony and shared some candid moments with his longtime industry friends, including Kamal and Kajol.

Kajol was last seen in Velai Illa Pattadhari 2 aka VIP 2, which marked her comeback in Tamil cinema after a gap of 20 years. The film was also released in Hindi as VIP 2 Lalkar.
Kamal, meanwhile, has become one of the major newsmakers of the nation. And mostly not for his work in the film industry. He is on the verge of floating his own political outfit even as he has a few interesting big budget films, including Indian 2 in the pipeline.
His long-delayed film Vishwaroopam 2 is expected to hit the screens in April next year.
