To say that Rajinikanth’s 2.0 is one of the biggest and most awaited projects of Kollywood is an understatement and a grave injustice to buzz around the movie. Helmed by Shankar who is known from his opulence, the curiosity and expectations around the project keep inching higher with each passing day. The new making video released by the makers only further increase our expectations from the project, as we get a sneak peek into the ground zero of 2.0.
Endhiran’s sequel (Robot in Hindi) 2.0 has been shot using the latest 3D technology cameras directly, to provide the audience the best visual experience possible. While the first 3D movie in India released decades ago, the format is still of considerable novelty as a lot of filmmakers don’t prefer to engage with the technology. What 2.0 aspires to do is try to inspire more creators to engage with the medium, said Shankar in the video. The film’s cinematographer Nirav Shah, Superstar Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and film’s lead stereographer Ray Hannisan also spoke about the effort that goes into shooting a 3D movie and the effect it will have. “I was mesmerised when I saw the first shot in 3D on the screen. I was repeatedly watching it,” said Rajinikanth giving us an idea of the spectacle that Shankar has in store for us.
