Darbar motion poster release: The Rajinikanth starrer is helmed by AR Murugadoss.

The motion poster of Rajinikanth starrer Darbar is out. Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal, Mahesh Babu and Salman Khan released the Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi motion posters, respectively, on their Twitter handles.

Alongside Rajinikanth, Darbar also stars Nayanthara, Dilip Tahil, Suniel Shetty, Nivetha Thomas, Yogi Babu, Thambi Ramaiya, Sriman, Jatin Sarna and Nawab Shah. Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar will be seen in a negative role.

Darbar will see Rajinikanth playing the role of a cop after 25 years. The film also marks the first collaboration between Thalaivar and director AR Murugadoss. Rajinikanth began the film’s shoot in April in Mumbai and wrapped it up in October. Santhosh Sivan and Sreekar Prasad are handling the cinematography and editing, respectively.

Rajinikanth was last seen in Karthik Subbaraj’s Petta. His next is speculated to be under the direction of Siva, who last helmed Ajith starrer Viswasam. Tentatively titled Thalaivar 168, the film will mark Rajinikanth’s third project with Sun Pictures after Enthiran and Petta. It was reported that the film has been titled Viyugam but an official word is still awaited.

On Deepavali, fans were treated with a new poster of Rajinikanth from Darbar. So far, fans have seen a few stills from the film but this is the first time that they will see a motion poster.

Darbar is scheduled to release on Pongal 2020.

It was recently announced that Rajinikanth will be honoured with Icon of Golden Jubilee award at the 50th International Film Festival of India in Goa.
