Vijay starrer Bigil seems unstoppable. After a thunderous opening across India, the movie is eyeing the coveted Rs 200 crore club.
Apart from dominating the Tamil Nadu box office, the film is also performing well across the globe. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted, “#USA BO – Oct 30th: 1. #Housefull4 – $73,358 [294 locs] Total – $1,240,843 2. #Kaithi – $12,836 [58 locs] Total – $217,094 3. #Bigil – $10,963 [102 locs] Total – $1,011,748.”
In another tweet, Bala stated how Bigil is doing well in neighbouring states as well.
“#Kerala becomes the 1st Market where #Bigil has entered into profit zone..#Bigil is also the highest grossing Tamil movie there in 2019..” read Bala’s tweet.
“Let’s talk about inconsistencies and the exhausting length of Bigil. It was promoted as an ambitious sports drama, but coach Michael spends more time mouthing punch dialogues than training the girls in football. Bigil isn’t another formulaic sports film, but it’s pretty much set in a template. You have this underdog element, and you know who’s going to win against all odds. Atlee somehow manages to make everything ‘look’ effective. But that doesn’t mean Bigil is a good film,” a section of her review read.
