Aruvi teaser: The rebel, the heroine, the terrorist; Save the date for this one!

The teaser of Aruvi which was released a few days back has been making waves on social media. The film which already was well received at film festivals is releasing on the big screen on December 1. If the teaser is anything to go by, you don't want to miss this one.

If hyperlink cinema is Kollywood’s new favourite genre, women are our favoured protagonists. Starting from 36 Vayathinile, Dora to the recently released Magalir Mattum and Aramm, our leading ladies stepping are up their game in terms of scripts they chose. An interesting addition to this list is Aruvi, the teaser of which has been making waves on social media. A story that follows the eponymous Aruvi’s journey, the film is said to explore the various stages of life in Aruvi’s life. People who have watched the film on festival circuits are already raving about it, increasing the enigma around the project.

The beautifully edited teaser gives us a glimpse of what we can expect. As she walks down the corridor, her image is punctured with the sounds of a bullet. And then when we get close ups of her mouth, ears and eyes. As we expect a ferocious woman, Aruvi (Aditi Balan) gives us a sheepish smile. The enigma builds up to the peak with the teaser, that again ends with a brilliant touch. The teaser gives glimpses of Aruvi, the rebel, Aruvi the heroine and Aruvi the terrorist, leaving us wanting more.

Helmed by Arun Prabhu Purushothaman, the film marks the debut of Aditi Balan. Unlike other women-centric films which has star power to ride it through, Aruvi is different with Aditi already sparking the interest of the cinephile. The film songs have been composed by Bindhu Malini and Vedanth. Bankrolled by Dream Warrior pictures, the film is expected to release on December 1.
