Tirchy model Aarav won the first season of Bigg Boss Tamil that brought movie-demigod Kamal Haasan to the small screens as a host. Ganesh Venkatraman was announced as the third runner-up of the show. His wife Nisha Krishnan was sent in to bring him out of the house. And Harish Kalyan was escorted out of the house by Oviya.
Kamal did the honours of escorting the final two contestants Snehan and Aarav out of the house. After making an impassioned speech about his much-awaited political debut, Kamal handed the trophy to Aarav and a cheque of Rs 50 lakh.
Aarav made a winner’s speech thanking his parents, school teachers and fans that voted for him throughout his journey in Bigg Boss Tamil.
Following the dramatic exit of Oviya, Aarav’s chances of survival in the reality game show looked very bleak. As fans were upset with him as many thought he did a number on Oviya. And he was later caught in a lie over a conflict with Snehan. He had lied to a few housemates about not apologising to Snehan for fighting with him for some reason. But actually, he did ask sorry to Snehan. Kamal played a ‘Kurumpadam’ (short film) and exposed his lie. It seemingly further made his winning chances look bad.
However, things began to look up for him after a couple of weeks. It mostly happened following Harish Kalyan’s entry into the show. He was in a good company and reduced his habit of backbiting significantly. It won’t be wrong to say, being in the company of Harish and Bindu Madhavi made him look good. And Aarav also escaped from getting nominated for the evictions during risky scenarios. And other combinations of things worked in his favour as the Tirchy model started polling more number of votes than other housemates. Not only did Aarav survive in the house for 100 days but he also emerged as the winner of the first season of Bigg Boss Tamil.
