With the music of the film already gaining popularity, the cast and music team of Ek Villain organised a live musical concert as part of their film’s promotion, at High Street Phoenix in Mumbai last week. The first artist to come up on stage was composer and singer Ankit Tiwari, who belted out the popular Galiyan and mesmerised the audience with his rendition. Mithoon, who has also composed for this film, walked in next, as he performed on Zaroorat and was joined by singer Mohammad Irfan for another popular number, Banjara. Mithoon’s energetic performance on the piano got a lot of cheers from the audience.
But it was Shraddha Kapoor, who makes her singing debut with the unplugged version of the song Galiyan, who stole the show as she made an entry on stage and crooned the number with great enthusiasm. After singing a few solo verses, she was joined by Tiwari, who also accompanied the singer on the piano. Kapoor sang the number melodiously and with great effort, as she was very excited to perform in front of the huge crowd. Kapoor adds, “I was eager to sing ever since my previous film Aashiqui 2, but director Mohit Suri did not allow me to sing for that project. I am grateful that I got an opportunity to sing such a beautiful track for Ek Villan.” She was followed by her co – stars Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh, along with director Mohit Suri, who walked in wearing smiley masks, with fireworks in the background.
