There have been a lot of speculations about Shakun Batra’s next. The director, who made the successful 2012 Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, is currently on to his second project. Understandably, everyone is curious about the casting, as his first had an interesting lead pair with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Imran Khan. After some initial reports that Imran and Farhan would be cast in the film were denied, came reports that Sidharth Malhotra is most likely doing the film and now there is a buzz that Varun Dhawan, who is on a roll after his last release, Main Tera Hero, is also part of the film, which is to be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. If both do the film, we will once again have the Student Of The Year male cast.
When contacted, Batra confirmed that the film is a two-hero project. “I am in talks with several people and the news about me approaching Varun and Sidharth are just rumours. The hunt is still in its initial stages and we are yet to zero in on our two main actors,” he said.

 

John Travolta may do Shekhar Kapur’s Paani

At an awards event in Tampa Bay, US, Hollywood actor John Travolta disclosed that he has been approached by director Shekhar Kapur to be part of Kapur’s ambitious project Paani and that he was considering the offer. Sushant Singh Rajput is playing one of the principal characters in the film. When contacted Yash Raj Films, the producers of Paani for a confirmation, they did not revert and neither did Kapur, the film’s director.

 

Malaika Arora Khan to judge dance event at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne

Malaika Arora Khan, who has appeared as a judge on the television show India’s Got Talent and done popular dance numbers like Chaiyya chaiyya and Munni badnaam hui will be judging the Telstra Bollywood Dance competition. This is a part of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM), an annual celebration of Indian cinema which will take place from May 1-14. The competition invites entries from dancers of different age groups from across the country and categories include competition between solo to group categories. This year the winner will get a free trip to India. Last year, the competition was judged by Farah Khan with Prabhu Dheva as the special guest.
