There have been a lot of speculations about Shakun Batra’s next. The director, who made the successful 2012 Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, is currently on to his second project. Understandably, everyone is curious about the casting, as his first had an interesting lead pair with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Imran Khan. After some initial reports that Imran and Farhan would be cast in the film were denied, came reports that Sidharth Malhotra is most likely doing the film and now there is a buzz that Varun Dhawan, who is on a roll after his last release, Main Tera Hero, is also part of the film, which is to be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. If both do the film, we will once again have the Student Of The Year male cast.
When contacted, Batra confirmed that the film is a two-hero project. “I am in talks with several people and the news about me approaching Varun and Sidharth are just rumours. The hunt is still in its initial stages and we are yet to zero in on our two main actors,” he said.
