Shruti Haasan has been confirmed to play the female lead in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s film tentatively titled Bichde Sabhi Bari Bari. The film has Irrfan and Manoj Bajpayee playing the protagonists while Vidyut Jamwal and Amit Sadh will play the younger versions of their characters as the film is over a time period. While Jamwal will play the younger Irrfan, Sadh will play the younger Bajpayee.
Interestingly Shruti who plays the heroine in the film will be playing a character with the young men, and later will be shown as a mature character with Irrfan and Bajpayee. “It’s a very performance oriented and different part which will show her aging from a young girl to a mature woman, the kind of role that her father Kamal Haasan is known for,” said a source close to the actress.
Shruti is also in talks for Nishikanth Kamath’s Rocky Handsome which has John Abraham playing the protagonist. The film is the official remake of the Korean film The Man From Nowhere and is set to take off next month in Goa. “Actually Shruti has been approached for the film but she is just back from Dubai where she was shooting for Welcome Back and now she is in Chennai shooting for her Tamil film Poojai so she has not had the time to go through the script. As soon as she does that, she will definitely be doing the film as she is very keen to work with Nishikanth Kamat,” said the source.
