Shreyas Talpade’s Baji to release in February 2015

Actor Shreyas Talpade-starrer Baji, the first superhero film in Marathi, is slated for a February 6 release next year.
Directed by Nikhil Mahajan of Pune 52 fame, the film will see Talpade in the titular role. It also stars Amruta Khanvilkar in the female lead and Jitendra Joshi in a negative role.
The first teaser of the film, which marks Talpade’s comeback to Marathi cinema after seven years as an actor, was launched with the 38-year-old actor’s first production Poshter Boyz which released on August 1. Baji, shot across Konkan locales, is an action-adventure-romance laced superhero vigilante film that transcends both folklore and present day.

 

Sequel to Ugramm 

The success of the Kannada film Ugramm salvaged the career of actor Srimurali which was on a downslide. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film recently completed 100 days and had to be re-released due to public demand. On his official Facebook page, Srimurali posted that a sequel of Ugramm will soon be made. “Pls Dont have ny doubt we r coming with UGRAMM 2 (sic)”. Titled Ugramm Veeram, the sequel may take off in 2015. It is to be produced by Inkfinite Pictures.
