Music composer trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have arranged the music for Gajendra Ahire’s psychological thriller Anvatt, thus marking their debut in Marathi films. The film also has Shankar lending his voice for a song. Ahire stated that veteran music director Hridaynath Mangeshkar has composed the music for the film wherein two of his famous songs have been recreated by the team. They are Tarun ahe ratr ajunhi, a bhavgeet that was earlier rendered by Asha Bhosle and Suresh Bhat and Ye re ghana (sung by Asha Bhosle in the album titled Aawaz Chandnyache). The director is also excited about the film’s premiere at the Goa Marathi Film Festival on June 6.
Set in the backdrop of 1975, the film has been shot in Konkan, Goa and Hyderabad. The paranormal tale stars Adinath Kothare, Urmila Kanetkar Kothare, Makrand Anaspure, Kishor Kadam, Vibhavari Deshpande and Bharghavi Chirmule. It is produced under the banner PSJ Entertainments by Shekhar Jyoti, who was the COO at Videocon before he turned to films. Amar Mohile has given the background score while FTII student Krishna Sorren is the cinematographer, said the producer adding that this will be the first movie to be screened in the 4k format which is almost more than double the full HD viewing experience. Producer Vivek Kajaria of Shala and Fandry fame has bought the distribution rights of Anvatt which is set to release in July.
