Actor Salman Khan has announced the launch of a new, non-profit based production house named Being Filmy, which follows the name of his charitable organisation, Being Human.

Since the actor is very keen on taking his charitable causes a notch above, he decided to give this idea a push. “I think small films have great content and they deserve to be given a decent platform. To support this cause, I have decided to produce films under my banner, Being Filmy. These films will be small, but instead of concentrating on profit, we will aim at giving it a proper release,” stated Khan.

The first film from this stable, which is yet untitled, is slated to go on the floors by June-July and should hit the screens by end of this year. The most interesting part about the ventures that he plans to produce is that after subtracting the taxes and costs, the entire profit will be donated to charitable causes. “It will be like providing entertainment with tons of positivity surrounding it,” added Khan.

Alia Bhatt opposite Shahid Kapoor in Shandaar

After Queen, director  Vikas Bahl is busy with the pre-production work of his next, Shandaar. While Shahid Kapoor has been finalised to play the male lead, the hunt for an heroine is currently on. Several names did crop up at regular intervals, including that of  Alia Bhatt. When asked whether she will be playing the female lead opposite Kapoor, Bhatt, diplomatically replied, “I do not wish to comment.”
