Case exemption

The Mumbai Sessions court recently exempted Salman Khan from appearing in the 2002 hit-and-run case after his lawyer Srikant Shivade pleaded that the actor was busy shooting for a film. Judge D.W. Deshpande granted the application but said the actor must remain present for the next hearing. The court said that it was in his own interest that he attend the court during the hearing and he cannot be given exemption every time.
