Television director Ravindra Gautam, whose attempt at directing for the big screen was appreciated by many, is turning back to TV again, this time as a producer for a youth show on a major general entertainment channel (GEC).
Gautam, who in the past has been associated as a director with shows like Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Kumkum Bhagya and Karam Apna Apna, has started the production house — Lights Camera Action — along with scriptwriter Rahil Qaazi and cinematographer Sanjay Mamane, who worked with him on his film ETKS.
“This show will bring out the reality of today’s generation that is always in the rat-race,” says Gautam, who doesn’t want to reveal more about the show which is still in the writing stage. “However, it is going to be really different from what we see on the GECs today.”
