Randeep Hooda who is known to play unconventional roles is gearing up for an out and out romantic film for the first time. He will romance actor Kajal Aggarwal (Singham and Special 26) in Do Lafzon Ki Kahani that is being produced by newcomer Avinash Rai and directed by Deepak Tijori.

“Avinash and I are gym friends. When he told me he was toying with the idea of making a film, we decided to make this intense love story, which is not the usual song and dance kind. Randeep completely suited the character that we were looking at,” said Tijori.

According to Tijori, the tough task was to get the female lead opposite him as it is an author backed role for the leading lady and is as important as the male lead. “We had a lot of meetings and I watched some South Indian movies when we thought Kajal would make an interesting match with Randeep,” revealed the actor-director, adding that she plays a sculptor in the film.In fact DLKKwill have a mixed cast with actors from Malaysia and Indian.

“We have auditioned actors in Malaysia and we will also have Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters who will be fighting Randeep as he plays a mixed martial arts fighter himself. In fact, he is training to play his part.”
