After making the off-beat, Sanjay Mishra starrer, Ankhon Dekhi, actor-director Rajat Kapoor will now be seen on the small screen. Kapoor will be playing one of the lead roles in director Ashutosh Gowariker’s dream  project, Everest. Confirming the news, Kapoor stated, “Yes, I will be seen in a pivotal role in Ashutosh’s Everest, which is my next acting assignment. It is a spectacular fictional drama show. We have already started shooting for it, and trust me, it’s an amazing experience. Loving it already!” The cast of the show is currently shooting in Uttarakhand.

Shilpa Shukla  hosts Saavdhan India

Actress Shilpa Shukla, who won awards and acclaim for her last release B.A. Pass, is all set to join the telly world with Savdhaan India on Life OK. Shukla will be seen hosting the Sunday slot of the show. “I am currently shooting for three films simultaneously and since I am used to juggling multiple projects, I was glad that I could balance things out with a television show. I had always wanted to strike a bond with the television audience, which is huge and completely different from the big screen audience,” stated Shukla. The actress was looking for the right show, since she is not very fond of the fiction genre on television. “Crime is something that concerns all of us, and a show like this helps in reaching out to people who want to know about the things happening around the country. The stories are quite powerful and some of them deal with crime against women. The idea was narrated to me, and I thought that if I have to make my debut on television, then this is the perfect platform.” The actress is currently in the process of signing the dotted line and will soon start shooting for the show.
