R… Rajkumar makes it to the Oscar library

Bollywood films are gaining increasing visibility across the globe. Some films are creating a buzz in the international sector, for their innovative scripts. The Oscar Library, which had earlier selected scripts of films like Rock On!, Namastey London, Guzaarish among others, has now chosen the script of the Shahid Kapoor- Sonakshi Sinha starrer, R… Rajkumar. Producer Viki Rajani, who was thrilled with the response that the film got at the box-office, was elated when he received an invitation from the academy, requesting him to submit a copy of the script. “It’s a privilege that the script of our film has been internationally recognised, and an honour for us to be a part of the archives in the Oscar library. The film was loved by the audience and had done good business. This is a happy moment for the entire team,” mentioned Rajani. The film was also produced by Sunil Lulla of Eros International.

 

Sohail Khan’s My Punjabi Nikaah to take off in December

After his last directorial venture Jai Ho, which released in January, Sohail Khan is now gearing up for his next production venture called My Punjabi Nikaah. According to the producer-director, the script and the cast of the film is yet to be finalised and the shoot will begin in December 2014.

 

Guneet Monga ventures into ad film production

Guneet Monga, who has produced films like The Lunchbox, Gangs of Wasseypur I & II under her banner, Sikhya Entertainment, has now ventured into ad-film production under her company Golden Gaddi Films. They will concentrate on making ad and corporate films, with known directors from the industry.
