
The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation has associated itself with the recently released Ajay Devgn-Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer, Singham Returns to promote the state of Maharashtra as a tourist destination. Devgn, who plays the role of Bajirao Singham, who is now the Inspector General in Mumbai, is also shown appealing tourists to visit the state. A campaign was also launched across various television channels that depicts Devgn’s character, along with his platoon of cops, providing security to the people of the state.
Meanwhile, in another promotional and marketing initiative, the makers of the film have launched various merchandises, sporting the famous dialogue, Aata majhi satakli along with the graphics of a toon version of Singham, his moustache and aviators among others. The merchandise is available on Coolbaja.com. Talking about it, Devgn says, “It’s great to have unique Singham Returns merchandise made specially for all the fans out there. We hope to connect further with our audiences through an extension of the movie with the merchandise.”
Directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham Returns released on August 15.
