Actress Madhurima Tuli, who was last seen in Anubhav Sinha’s Warning 3D and was recently spotted in an Airtel commercial, has been roped in to play a supporting but important role in Neeraj Pandey’s upcoming venture, Baby. Tuli, whose for performance as a wife and boss in the advertisement was appreciated, will be seen playing Akshay Kumar’s wife in the film. Tuli stated, “Honestly, the feeling is yet to sink in. The fact that I have a bagged prestigious project like this and that too, opposite Akshay Kumar, is really a big deal for me. Although my performance in Warning 3D was appreciated, the film didn’t really do well. But my look in the film did help me bag the Airtel commercial, which in a way, proved lucky for me.”
The thriller, based on undercover agents, will also showcase a love story which explores a husband – wife relationship and the track will be filled with emotions. Tuli confirmed that Pandey had actually auditioned her for another film, but he liked her test and decided to cast her for Baby instead. “I have already finished shooting for a day and we are currently filming important portions in Delhi, after which, we have a longer schedule in Mumbai,” stated Tuli. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Baby will also be shot in Abu Dhabi and Oman, while two schedules in Kathmandu and Istanbul are already canned. Baby is slated to release on January 23, 2015.
