Mahesh Bhatt’s Khamoshiyan is slated to release on January 30, but the makers are already planning its sequel and also turning it into a franchise. Film-makers Mukesh Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt feel that Khamoshiyan has the potential to launch new stars in the industry and it would also add to their already existing list of franchises like Murder and Raaz.
An erotic supernatural, Khamoshiyan stars television actor Gurmeet Chaudhry, debutant Sapna Pabbi and Ali Fazal. Presented by Fox Star Studios, it is directed by Vikram Bhatt.
Meanwhile, Vishesh Films are planning to convert three scripts of their films into a novel. These films include 1920, 1920 – Evil Returns and Khamoshiyan. The novel will carry unpublished photographs and little known facts about the films which were penned by Vikram Bhatt and will be released on January 30.
An elated Vikram Bhatt said, “I’m simply thrilled. More so because the film of such genre gets an adult rating. With the book coming out, young adults will also get to read my stories. It’s a first for me and I’m excited to gauge the reaction to this marketing initiative.”
