Director Karan Johar, who was the producer of Nikhil Advani’s maiden venture, Kal Ho Na Ho, has given away the rights of one of his songs to Advani. The director, who is currently busy working on his next, Hero, starring Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty, wanted an intense romantic, Punjabi ballad (written by lyricist Kummar and composed by Jassi Katial), whose rights were with Johar, as the director was planning to use it in one of his future projects. But when Johar saw the rushes of Advani’s film, he was quite impressed and as soon as Advani approached the director to discuss the song, Johar was more than happy to give it away. Advani feels that Johar is generous enough to give the song and is now happy that he finally has the track, which was required for a specific scene in the film.
