Kangana Ranaut is to play a sportsperson in the sequel to Aanand L. Rai-directed 2011-film Tanu Weds Manu. The film went on floors in Lucknow recently with lead actors Kangana and R. Madhavan participating in the shoot.
While Rai was unavailable for comment, Kangana had confirmed during an informal chat that it is for the first time that she would be attempting a double role in a film. The actress would be seen in the role of Madhavan’s wife as well as that of a triple jumper in the film. However it is not yet confirmed on which Haryanvi sportsperson her character is based. The film also stars Jimmy Shergill.
