After three successive hits last year, Jeet Ganguli’s next is a romantic song for Alone, starring Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Gover. Ganguli, who had earlier composed Muskurane ki wajah for Hansal Mehta’s CityLights, Suno na sangmar for Youngistaan and a few songs for Aashiqui 2 has composed a romantic number, Chand aasmano se which is sung by Bhavin Dhanak, with lyrics by Sandeep Nath
The romantic number picturised on Karan Singh Grover and Bipasha Basu has Karan who plays her husband, pacifying Bipasha for not reaching home on time to celebrate her birthday.
“I had composed three to four melodies for the song, out of which Bhushan Patel and Kumar Mangat Pathak selected one. I’ve used the piano, guitar and Chinese flute to compose it. The song’s orchestration is modern and the melody is very intense, soulful and romantic,” said Ganguli.
Ganguli, who had also composed most of the songs for Raaz 3 feels that the common notion that a horror film cannot contain romantic songs is wrong. “The movie could be horror, but why should the songs be like that. A horror movie also has romantic situations.”
Ganguli will also be composing music for director Karan Dhara’s Khamoshiyan and the Kunal Kohli-Jennifer Winget starrer Phir Se.
