Film-maker Ashutosh Gowariker is adamant to make his television production venture as big as he can. After bringing music maestro A.R. Rahman to compose the music for his show, Everest, he has now brought Javed Akhtar on board to write a song.
Touted to be one of the biggest and most expensive show on Indian TV, the song is going to be inspirational in nature keeping in mind the story of the protagonist Anjali — a 21 year old girl who, in order to find a place in her father’s heart, decides to summit the Mt Everest.
A source from the channel, Star Plus on which the show is being aired, says that Gowariker met Akhtar to give him a brief and the latter immediately agreed to get associated with the show. “The song was shot last week after much back and forth and many changes to make sure it turns out the way it was pictured – to inspire people,” says the source.
