Akshay Kumar gets a lip smacking kiss from Entertainment, the golden retriever in It’s Entertainment. The dog was selected from 50 others  who auditioned in Bangkok  for  this pivotal role in the film which is directed by writer duo-turned-directors Sajid Farhad. Kumar mentioned that the cast would wait, as the shoot would start  only once the dog was ready to shoot. A dod lover himself bythe time the shoot got over, the actor  had become good friends with the dog. Produced by Ramesh S Taurani, and co-produced by  Dhaval Jayantilal Gada , Kushal Kantilal Gada and Reshmaa Kadakia, the film releases on August 8.

Welcome Back’s last schedule in September

The last schedule of Welcome Back will be filmed in Dubai in September. The film which is over 80 per cent complete, will wrap up its shooting in Dubai where three songs and some scenes with Naseeruddin Shah will be canned. Starring Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal, Anil Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, John Abraham and Shruti Haasan, Welcome Back is directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala.

Nidhi Dutta and Ajit Sodhi’s debut film takes off

The shooting of J. P. Dutta and Bindiya Goswami Dutta’s home production, made under their banner JP Gene, took off on May 30 in Mumbai. The film which will introduce their daughter Nidhi and actress Nafisa Ali’s son Ajit Sodhi is still untitled. While some scenes were canned at a studio in suburban Mumbai, a song was filmed at a restaurant in South Mumbai. The second schedule of the film will be shot abroad, though the country is still to be locked. The movie is helmed by debutant Binoy Gandhi who has earlier assisted film-makers Kunal Kohli and Aditya Chopra.
