Huma Qureshi who has been getting rave reviews and appreciation for her stirring portrayal of Jhimli in the recently released Badlapur will most likely land a role in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Bhoole Se Naam Na Lo Pyaar Ka. The film has Imran Khan as the leading man.
“I never talk about a film till the producers talk about it, so I would not like to say anything. But yes, Tigmanshu Dhulia is a director that Ireally admire and would love to work with him, and then I have already done a film with Balaji. It would be lovely if something canbe worked out, but it’s too early to talk about it,” said Qureshi.
Currently, Qureshi is basking in glory of the response she has been getting for her bold portrayal in Badlapur. Her character is part of the entire 15 years journey of Varun Dhawan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. “Jhimli was a very complex character who started off as a hooker, but then life treats her differently.
It was not easy to connect with the audience in the screen time. But seeing the response, I can make out that the audience was moved by my story. When you see her in the second half you emphasise with her, the kind of life she wanted and what happened because of the revenge trap. The best thing is that the film is not only being appreciated but has brought in good collection as well,” said the actress.
Next for the actress is Prawaal Raman’s Hindi remake of the horror film Oculus. It is a brother-sister story, which will see her real brother, actor Saqib Saleem, playing her brother on-screen as well.
“The script has still to be locked but Saqib and I are very excited as we loved the original. It’s too early to talk about it but soon everything should be locked in and we will start shooting in the next couple of months,” she said.
