Gulshan Devaiah is presently in Goa, not to bring in the New Year, but for shooting his new film Candy Flip, an independent project written and directed by his friend Shahnawaz N. K. “The male lead in the film is played by Prashant Prakash (Girl In The Yellow Boots) who runs a shack and I play his confidante and everything is going smoothly for them until things go terribly wrong! The first schedule of the film has just wrapped up,” revealed the actor.
Devaiah is also looking forward to the release of Phantom Films’ Hunter made by debutant film-maker Harshavardhan Kulkarni (he has written Hasee Toh Phasee) and is about a regular, ordinary looking guy who is a womaniser. “When he is 35, he is under immense parental pressure to get married. The problem is he cannot stop philandering. Radhika Apte who plays the female lead, comes into my life and that’s when things begin to change. Marathi actress Sai Tamankar is also a part of the film,” said the actor.
Also on the anvil is Pooja Bhatt’s Love Affair in which he will be playing a naval officer and is pitted opposite Kalki Koechlin and Cabaret in which he is paired with Richa Chadha. The actor is also very excited about his special appearance in Vivek Agnihotri’s Junooniyat. “I have a guest role in the film, something that I was very keen to do as I wanted to work with Vivek Agnihotri after Hate Story 2. But, the details about my character have been kept under wraps so I cannot reveal more,” he said.
