Television actor Gautam Rode, more popularly known as Saras from Saraswati Chandra, has recently launched his website in order to connect more to his fans. “I have already been on Twitter for a while now and it’s been a great experience as I get so much admiration from my fans. It is really motivating. The idea of a social hub/website and official Facebook page just felt right as I want to be available for those who want to connect with me and share their feedback, suggestions, love and support.”
One of the reasons which led to the actor launching his website (www.iamgautamrode.com) is also fake profiles on Facebook, made in his name. The actor’s website will be handled by his team, with creative inputs from him. Despite the fact that television does get hectic with erratic work schedules, the actor says he’d definitely try to be in touch with his fans.
As far as his show is concerned, with creative changes made in the script on the spur of the moment, Rode is not aware what the next track will unravel. He, however, confirms that the upcoming episodes will be shot in U.K.
Meanwhile, Rode, who was also seen as a host on Nach Baliye, has an exclusive contract with Star. “I’m not allowed to do shows for other channels till Saraswati Chandra is on air, but I’m happy because Star is providing good opportunities to host reality shows like Nach Baliye,” says Rode.
Anup Soni to quit Balika Vadhu
Balika Vadhu, one of television’s most popular shows has been running for five years now. Most of the actors who have been playing the characters are still with the show except for a few, including Pratyusha Banerjee who was replaced by Toral Rasputra as Anandi. Now it is heard that Anup Soni, who plays Bhairon Singh in the show, plans to quit Balika Vadhu. There is no confirmation on the same though, so we’ll have to wait and see if Soni quits and who replaces him.
