Eros International has joined hands with Phantom Films and actor Anushka Sharma’s (along with brother Karnesh Sharma) Clean Slate Production to co-produce Navdeep Singh’s NH 10. An action thriller about a road trip that goes wrong, NH 10 is director Navdeep Singh’s second film post Manorama 6 Feet Under. Sharma makes her debut as a producer with this film, that will see an amalgamation of Indian and international artists, with action director Armin Sauer of The Bourne Supremacy and V for Vendetta fame, taking over as the head stunt director. To be shot dominantly across the northern plains of the areas around Delhi, NH 10 is scheduled to release on September 12.
Irrfan bags top honour at Asian Film Awards
Actor Irrfan bagged top honours at the Asian Film Awards held in Macau on March 27, where he walked away with the Best Actor award for his portrayal of Saajan Fernandez in Ritesh Batra’s The Lunchbox. Commenting on his win, the actor said, “It’s a great honour to be nominated alongside actors like Tony Leung Chiu-Wai (The Grandmaster) and then, winning as well.” Batra walked away with the Best Screenplay award.
Bhushan Patel’s next is also a horror
Director Bhushan Patel who has tasted success with 1920: Evil Returns and now Ragini MMS 2 is already working on his third film, also a horror film. The project will be produced by Kumar Mangat who had last made the supernatural thriller Aatma. Patel who is just back from a recee in Kerala where he will be shooting the film said, “Aditi Rao Hydari is one of the front runners for the part, but we will be making an announcement about the film soon.”
