Even before his launch vehicle, Mary Kom hits the screen, theatre actor Darshan Kumaar has added another feather to his cap. The actor will be seen playing Anushka Sharma’s love interest in her production venture, NH10, which is directed by Navdeep Singh. Interestingly, although the character is that of her love interest, he is also the antagonist. Kumaar stated, “Mary Kom and NH10 are two projects that are poles apart. Working on NH10 has been a completely different journey and I play an interesting character with grey shades. While I can’t give away too many details, the entire story focuses dominantly on me and Anushka. It was a challenging role and I am waiting to see how the audience reacts to my performance.”
While it is Mary Kom that will hit the screens first, Kumaar was offered NH10 first and he worked on both the films simultaneously. NH10 is a thriller which focuses on a road journey gone wrong and also stars Neil Bhoopalam. The film is slated for an early 2015 release.
