Director Jasbir Bhati, who has quite a few television shows including Kkusum, under his belt, is now gearing up for his film debut with Bhouri. The film that stars Raghuveer Yadav, Marsha Paur, Kunickaa Sadananand, Aditya Pancholi, Mukesh Tiwari, Mohan Joshi, Manoj Joshi, Sitaram Panchalamong others, is set on the backdrop of a remote village.
It deals with numerous social issues of rural India, especially partiality against women. A tragic love story of Bhouri, who is 23-year old and is married to a 55-year old, the film highlights the exploitation of women in male dominated society.
The director, who has been working on the film’s script since last five years, has found a producer in Chandrapal Singh, and is looking forward to the release of the film 2015. “I wanted to present every problem that a women faces, but not in an overtly melodramatic manner. Once I was happy with final product, I approached Chandrapal Singh. who is well-versed with Bollywood industry. He immediately agreed to produce this film and gave free creative hand to meand my team in making this film,” he remarked.
